About us

GARDEN-InfoSys, the Information System on German Agricultural Research for Development, Environment and Nutrition is a member of EARD-InfoSys+ the Information System on European Agricultural Research for Development

Mission

The objective of GARDEN-InfoSys is to gather the widely scattered information on ARD in Germany and make it accessible via one page. The database is mapping the German ARD landscape and is showing the relations between organisations, projects, funding opportunities and experts. Being part of EARD-InfoSys+ Garden-InfoSys also shows linkages between German and European ARD activities. In order to facilitate transparancy and further scientific cooperation, GARDEN-InfoSys is offering various information and communication services for the German ARD community like an e-mail Alert news service or the use of a groupware for project management.

Background & Management

With regard to the agreement on cooperation of BMVEL, BMZ, DFG and BEAF (founded at the workshop 20./21.11.2000), BMVEL supports the extension of the German contribution to EARD-InfoSys+, the project GARDEN-InfoSys.

GARDEN-InfoSys works as as decentralized system based on participation. It has no intention to take away responsibility or replace services of other organizations.

GARDEN-InfoSys is supported by a network of German partner organisations.
